Welcome to the South Florida Women Divers website.

We are a group of women who enjoy the sport of scuba diving. However, we do not limit our fun to our underwater pursuits. As you can see from our calendar, we explore the beauty of South Florida and the world by hiking, biking, kayaking, photography, beach combing, camping, travel and DIVING.

Our membership includes friends from the tri-county area as well as other areas of the country who want to participate in activities with us. We have a membership of over 70 women from beginning divers just getting certified to avid, long time divers and dive instructors who have done thousands of dives. Guests are welcome. We meet at the Old School House located adjacent to Deerfield City Hall on the 1st Wednesday of each month 7:00 p.m.. At our meetings, we socialize, discuss events, have some snacks and enjoy interesting and educational speakers. After you visit, I'm sure you'll want to be a part of this great group of women who love diving and/or enjoy the friendships, the activities, the food and the FUN.

HELP WANTED........ PLEASE!
No this isn't an ad for a real paying job, it is a request for articles for future newsletters. By far the favorite articles in the newsletters are those written by members which tell their stories of an adventure, Club event, review of equipment, review of a dive boat or destination, etc. I would really appreciate if you would take the time to submit more of your articles to me. It doesn't matter if they are long or short. Don't avoid contributing because you may be worried about your grammar or spelling. I happen to have a trusty proof reader who corrects my grammar and spelling all the time and will gladly review your articles before the newsletter goes to print!

HOW HAS SCUBA DIVING CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
In the spirit of trying to drag contributions to the newsletter out of you, I saw an ad by Scuba Diving magazine recently that asked its readers to answer this question. I thought this may be an excellent way to get our members to share their feelings and experiences. [Hey........ I'm not beyond borrowing a good idea!] So how about it? Email me your thoughts so I can include your answers in future newsletters. You will probably be surprised at some of the answers!
