SHARK VALLEY BIKE RIDE - JAN. 22

Once again we are heading to Shark Valley for a great afternoon of fresh air and exercise.  This park is located in the Everglades National Park.  You can bring your own bike or rent one at the park.  We will meet at 12:30 PM inside the park near the gift shop.  We would like to be on our bikes down the trail by 1 PM. 

For those of you that don't want to bike you can walk portions of the trail and/or take a very informative tram ride.  Bring your cameras, water, hat, and sunscreen. 

The trail is a 15 mile loop on a paved road.  There is a rest room and observation tower about half way through. 

We always see lots of gators and birds on this trail.

Car pooling is usually available.  It takes about 2 hours to get to the park from Delray Beach.

CAMPING AT HIGHLANDS HAMMOCKS - FEB. 3-5, 2012

Our first camping trip of 2012 will be at Highlands Hammocks in Sebring, Florida during the weekend of February 3rd.   This is a beautiful park in central Florida with walking trails and biking areas.  

Tents and sleeping bags for sharing are available so join us even if you don't have the equipment.

DIVE TRIP TO ROATAN - OCT. 6-13

We are getting very excited about this great dive vacation...  which is being scheduled for Oct. 6^th through Oct. 13^th.  The cost is $1050 based upon double occupancy.

I am setting the payment schedule up to match our monthly club meeting dates so that you can carry your check to the meeting or mail it ahead of time.  The first down payment saves you a spot on the trip... the Resort has a maximum capacity of 22.  So... we need to claim our rooms ASAP.  So...  get your first payment in to lock in this chance to dive with fellow club members... at one of the best dive destinations of the world !  Send me an email if you plan to bring your check to the Feb 1 meeting at Divers' Direct... if you are not attending that meeting... please mail it in to Diane Perkins at 2585 SE 4th Street, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
